Governor’s May revise still a sub-inflation increase

The Governor’s Office has released the May revision to the proposed 2022-23 state budget. The summary section for Higher Ed and the data from the May budget proposal’s Higher Education section, detailing the differences between the May revision and the January proposal (UC gets about 0.5% more than in the January proposal). Here is the press release from the Governor’s office.

UC’s official response from President Drake starts: “I want to thank Gov. Newsom for his continued partnership as we work to strengthen the University and better serve the people of California.”
