Dear Senator Yee,
The Council of UC Faculty Associations continues to support your efforts to repair California's whistleblower protection laws, and we support SB 220 for that general reason. In addition, we believe that the wording in SB 220 which explicitly includes "any communication based on, or when carrying out, job duties" in the definition of protected disclosure will be helpful to UC faculty as they are engaged in shared governance at the University.
